1980 Maurice and Yvonne’s daughter Samantha was born


1972 the Bee Gees recorded “The Happiest Days Of Your Life” for some unknown purpose, possibly a film.  The song remains unreleased

2009 the Bee Gees are awarded the Freedom of The Borough of Douglas, on the Isle of Man


1976 younger brother of The Bee Gees, Andy Gibb married his girlfriend Kim Reeder.  The couple divorced in 1978


1967 Bee Gees First released in the UK; reached number 8.


1967 the Bee Gees begin recording of Horizontal


1970 Maurice began work on The Bloomfields project with Billy Lawrie (Lulu’s brother)

1978 the soundtrack album for the Sgt Pepper film was released. Despite the film being a complete flop the album went multi-platinum and made number 5 in the US (it stayed there for 6 weeks).  It only reached 26 in the UK charts


1978 the Robert Stigwood film ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’, was released, featuring The Bee Gees and Peter Frampton.


1968 Robin Gibb collapsed from nervous exhaustion as the group were about to set out on their first US tour.


1977 the Bee Gees younger brother Andy Gibb started a four-week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with ‘I Just Wanna Be Your Everything’, his first of three US No.1’s, it peaked at No.26 in the UK.


1985 Robin married Dwina Murphy
